    S-1855 THE MARSH-CHRISTIE HOUSE 254 Boulder Street, Nevada City, California This outstanding Victorian Italianate Style home was built by pioneer Nevada City lumberman Martin Luther Marsh in 1873. His design was taken from Sloan’s “The Model Architect”, a Victorian pattern book published in 1852. Restored by Marsh’s granddaughter Lucille Marsh Christie and James Christie in 1954, the property was acquired by The American Victorian Museum in 1975 for use as an exhibit house.
