the organization of ‘the company.

a fine appearance.
Tat Lecture ‘To-morrow Nieut.—.
' “Mark Twain,” who has the reputation
of being the first wit in his line in the
United States, will give our people a
humorous sketch of his pilgrimage to
the Holy Land and other parts in
the Old World to-morrow evening.
Mark has -“norated” in the Eastern
cities of “those parts,” and everywhere
by press and people, his production is
spoken of in the highest terms. The
lecture is well worth hearing, and we

Spenceville, informs us that the crops in
the lower part of the county are looking
first-rate, and there is every’ prospect
for one of the largest crops of grain and
hay ever. raised in the foot-hills. The
‘feed for cattle is now excellent, and in
stock raising this promises to be one of
the most profitable seasons ever known
in the county.
SPENCEVILLE.—The people of Spence.
ville are about fitting up a new school
house. A dance is to be given at that
place next Tuesday evening for the pur, pose of raising money to move and fit
