' Besides the considerable quantities
sent through other mediums, the
quartzand gravel mines in thisneighborhvod have daring the month just
ended shipped to San Francisco
through Wells, Fargo & Company’s
express office in this city the sum -of
$123,564. The ballion shipments
‘or the month of “March, 1830,
amounted to but $61,000, showing
an astonishing increase in favor of
the present year. Daring the
months of January, February ‘and
March of this year the shipments were
$122,000: in excess of those for the)
same months in 1830. . The increase .
has been about the same in quartz
aad gravel gold. “These figures substautially verify ‘the Transcrier’s
claims as to the prosperous condition
of our mines, which are now yieldiug-mach more gold than ever: ia
