WE SHALL SEE.
According to the Marysville Appeal, N. D., Rideout recently sold to
a gentleman from Oakland a tract of
640 acres of land, located a few miles
north of that city, for $24,000. This,
the Appeal declares, is about half
what the perty would be worth
had it aot been damaged by debris
from hydraulic mines. And yet the
. Transcript boasts that the
hydraulicers intend to continue their
‘ destructive business for a century to
come, We shall see. —Bee.
Hydraulic mining will continue
until thé auriferous gravel channels
have all been exhausted, and the Bee
ought tobe smart enough to know
it, if it isn’t. With debris dams at
the Smartsville Narrows and elsemi thé~business will no longer
the element of destructiveSati-miners will be without any
grievance, real or assumed, to warrant their howls. Then Cadwalader,
shekels by harder work’ than misleading the too confiding valley peo:
ple, and the crank of the Bee will be
obliged to remount his other foolish
_ hobby of an-equal division of all the
land in the United States.
