No further developments have been
made relative to the attempt to rob
Menner & White’s store at San Juan,
except that the rogues were traced
through Sweetland,where they entered
Graham’s saloon and carried off a bote

agnouncing that R. L. Harris, who
made the survey ‘for a railroad from

charge of the work. His survey and
estimates have been completed and
were expected to be received here yesterday. We presume a meeting of the

to our knowledge, not one single good
and valid objéetion to the company, or
its plan has ever been, or can be urged
On the contrary, however, arguments
to prove the benefits which the interior
will derive therefrom multiply with
theught. We trast those of our peos
ple who have thus far aided the organization of the Company by the use of
their—names—as-directers, will act
promptly by subscribing liberally and
in obtaining subscriptions throughout
the county. In this way only can substantial benefit be derived to this city.
The labor of educating the people of
the State to a fall upderstanding of a

but we apprehend and prophecy a success to the Company com messerate
