CALKINS. sweie bau --Raitor ‘Nevada County Ofitial Pres, —— THE LAST CALL. * This is the last issue of the Transckirt thatwill reach the remote parts of Nevada county before the bond election takes place. For the honor, safety and continued p:osperity of this county let it not be said the intelligent voters have repudiated an honest ,debt that has necessarily been incutred by its public servants. Nota dollarof the money has been extravagantly expended, neither has any of it been stolen from the vaults of the Treasury, or used for any purpose except a legitimate one. The tax levy has not been quite heavy enough of late, and that’s the cause of the whole trouble. Repudiation by voting against ‘the asue of bonds so we cannot meet our just obligations will bring, among other evils, endless and costly litigation. More money would be spent ~by thecounty inthe courts durifig the next year or two.in attempting wonld suffice to meet all our present ‘liabilities, —Repndiation, such as would necessarily follow a failure to issue bonds, is obnoxious to every right-minded man. We have an abiding faith that our voters will on Tuesaday give their ~hearty approval to the bond Proposition by an overwhelming majority. RONEN ELT 4 Camel Sits Down on His Driver.
