Besides, _pensated for the price of admission._ PRuSPECTING.—We notice that since the interest is being taken by miners in prospecting for quartz. The ¢ustom mills are “kept busy crushing rock for the new ledges, and new claims are being opened ev. ery day. Little knots of men may be seen upon the streets every day, examining, with magnifying glesses, specimens of rock taken from the latest‘strike.” The developments resulting from this prospecting shows that there are yet many valuable leads in the hills around this city, unworked. WE understand that the Board of Trustees passed a resolution at ‘their last meeting, requesting the citizens of Nevada to meet and nominate'a ticket for the charter day of May. The ticket the City Trustees wish ‘nominated consists of five Trustees, “freasurer and Assessor. No nomination ’ for Marshul will take tee SaLe or Minine Cuams. We under" pftand that the extensive mining claims of W. H. Beck at North Bloomfield have been sold to R. C. Black and that the latter gen. ‘Geman will commence “washing” next . week. Mr. Beck will, we are informed, soon leave for the Atlantic States. Tae EXAMax Arion. —The County Board of Examination will meet atthe High School room in this city on the 3d of May, and remain in session three days. All applicants for certificates to teach, must be.in attendance during the entire session of the Board. Teachers who hold temporary certificates, and all whose certificates expire within three “months, are ‘required to be present at the éx‘«@mination.
