Stiles, of this city, has fovmnint and applied for a patent on a new sulphuret saver, which is said by mill men, to be the simplest as well as the most effective separator in use, It does its work with rapidity, and saves over ninety per cent. It would pot be proper at this time to describe the machine, but we have examined it and the results of its working. It seems to us that Stiles has struck just the right A Break Down. On Thursday a tremendous crash occurred.at Stiles’ mill, and a moment after the machinery stopped. For a time it was’ feared a serious accident had occurred. An examination showed that the whole bottom on the wheel, had fallen out.’ Fortunately the large water wheel was not injured, and the damage was repaired so that the machinery was again started yesterday athe; noon. The Board of Registration for the enrollment of those éntitled to vote at the Char. ter election, will be in session to-day and every Saturday after, until the election yy which is Monday, May 2d. He communicates with others by © writing, and in this way carries on a correspondence quite rapidly. He writes a good hand, spells corréctly, and seems to be well educated. Real Estate to Mortgage. Those who’ have money loaned and desire to save taxes should get some real estate and put a mortgage for the amount on it. A store box sown in wheat, or a lot in a grave yard is just as good for the evasion of the tax as the most valuable real estate. Company Wrili.
