The Yellow Diamond ledge was located a yeur or two ago, and two tunnels were run upon the ledge. Excellent ore was ‘obtained and the indications were splendid, but for some resson the cwuersstepped work. We-areinformed-by a gentleman who recently visited the mine that excellent rock in sight in this ledge. ——-—hetedge hasbeen tapped in four} different places and in each of these places it shows rich. sulphuret rock. _ SOUTH EAST EXTENSION, 4 Dr. Hughson & Co. have located the south east extension of the’ledge.! On this claim they have now-a-tun-. — nel in progress and are running upon athree foot ledge. ‘We have been shown rock from the croppings which . is rich with free gold. The ledge is near the Green claim which is now ‘yidlding the biggest kind of pay. oa ' GREEN’S LEDGE, Grecn’s claim is thesecond extension of the Yellow Diamond. The ledge at the point where he is working is decemposed, consisting of ochre and bluish quartz. They eit-to. the depth-of eight feet and run off this decomposed stuff, A gentleman who saw several pans of this dirt washed says he saw from $3 to $5 to the pan-taken out, and the pay runs as high as $5 to the pan in some places, ; THE WORK AND PROSPKCTs. ‘The Yellow. Diamond is not now being worked, but both the other claims are, and their success will encourage others to take hold and prospectin the vicinity. The Second Extension will soon have out a crushPTOURG Siac ing, and it is estimated that Green. . Will in a short time be able to clean up at least $1,000 for a short run at very little expense. The Pennsylvania Mine. “ For some months past’ the Pennsylvania mine has been in charge of Mr. Cliff of Grass Valley, as Superintendent. When he took the mine it was ina very bad* condition, ‘in consequence of the gouging system ore was taken out wherever it could be reached without reference to sys_tem or cost of extraction. “Mr. Cliff has sunk one level of 100 feet, and ran two tunnels each way, and he is now running another for the purpose of opening the’mine. He is also Tanning a tunnel north, where the ‘largest body of ground belonging ‘to the’Pennsylvania lies, and which has never yet been onened. The work Qus far, since he took charge, has beetdirected to opening the mine, and for sOme time yct this work Opening will be‘prosecuted. SYMPTOMS OF DYSPEPSIA are pain in the pit of the stémach, caused by contraction upon undigested food, usdally soon after eating. Acidity and wind caused by food fermenting instead of digesting. Constipation aud loss of appetite, owing to unnatural condition of food and want of gastric juice. Pain in the head, sides, breast,. and extremities, mouth clammy, with bad taste and furrid tongue. Consumptive symptoms, cough’ and palPitation of heart, often mistaken for’ consumption while it is only a symptom of dyspepsia. , Sleeplessness, dizziness, headache, gloom _. and depression of spirits, are all alarming symptoms, if neglected, but which are easily removed by the use of 'WHITE’S SPECIALTY. This valuable medicine has been used in . we have been induced to send for it. As an ( APERIENT it cannot bé excelled, and forconstipation of the;bowels it is a sure cure. _ From the Boston Journal. ' DysPersia. White’s Specialty for this aggravating complaint, has been thoroughly tested by-thousands who have been benefitted by it, and are willing to testify to its efficacy. It warrants a permanent cure, if tried faithfully. Ool-Chas. H. Taylor (private Secrétary to the Governor-of Massachusetts for three years, and a member of the Legislature,) says, in ‘“‘Amerivan Homes,” that WHITE’s SPECIALTY for dyspepsia scatters that disease a8 Quickly-as water does hot lead. From the Congregationalist (Boston.) make no nice distinctions, but whether their occupation be walking, riding, working, reading, or eating, they do them all with a rush; consequently we are the most dyspeptic people in the world. As it is too late to remedy the cause in our own cases, the best thing to be done is to find some way to change the effect, and this can be done by WHire’s SPECIALTY FOR DysPEPsia, which from pure merit’dnd virtue alone is fast overtaking, and bids fair to exceed in its sale, all the old popular medicines of the day. ; es Mr. H.
