According to the list published in the Washoe papers two go this way where one goes
by the Placerville route: The stages begin

Sap.—We regret to learn that our fellow townaman, and one of the pioneers of Neva
da, Z. P. Davis, is lying dangerously ill.—
Mr. Davis came to this city; with bis family,
in 1851, and hve rewnained in business up to
the present time. He has been a heary suf-—fereria every. fire that hae oeceurred-in-thie }——_—-.

SnNow.—People coming to this city from
the country inform us that there is any quantity.of snow in the mountains. It will bea
good while before the miners will be complaining of the scarcity of water.

Deer Creek.—This creek is getting
pretty well cleared of the surplus tailings
under the Broad and Main street bridges:
There is considerable water in the. creek.

the emigrant croaging, and is large and weil
defined on both sides of the river. -Same of
the rock beat up ina hand mortar assayed
$93 to the ton. The lead has been opened
in several places and in ‘every instance was

the flag staff_in front of the National Exchange, yesterday. It is surmounted by a
“mackerel bird” to indicate which way the

Tre Ruegant 3 Bowman's and other
points on the Hennes Pass road, where the
snow was drifted by the last storm, men have
been to work clearing the way since Sunday
lest. We are informed now that the roads
are in excellent condition, and the sleighs
and stages make splendid time.
