/ beginping at half past seven o’clock. The Huity runseript. NEVADA CITY. LOCAL. ITEMS. The Ratiroad. *We learn that the survey of a line for a railroad from this city to. Marys ville was made with great care by Mr. Harris’ atid his associates, ‘The Engis neer is now engaged in making up his reports of estimates of cost, etc., and whet this ig done the starting point} for a railread will have been ‘obtained, Since the people of Nevada county hav bogun to talk railroad in earnest, a libphe UNDERSIGNED having this day formeral offer has been made from an unex» pected quarter, hameély from the Central Pacific road. We understand an offer has been ‘made, by, authority, to furnish all the rolling stock required for such a road, provided the ‘people of the county will build it, When estimates are obtained of the coat of building to Marysville and also to Colfax, the advantages of the offer can then be canvaseed by those interested, and the best road decided upon. Of course when the final report of Mr. Harris is ready, a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Kailroad Asgociation will be held, and to this meeting the reeult of the labors of Mr. Harris will be made known, and we hope that immediately thereatter steps wilt be taken to incorporate a company and: put the road through. Such a road would en-. hance the value of property and give more vigor to business in every part of the county. oe Licenses Sold. The Report of the County Auditor, J.J.
