Usually the rain fall is much less in
the valleys than in the mountains, but
from the accounts given, the valley

The Tree of Genius,

buck’s horns, and bears the skates inveuted since the skatomania attacked
the people of this locality. Some dozen
newly invented skates. not one of which
will go, have been placed upon the tree
of genius, a warning to all ambitious
youths, who imagine they can improve . .
