Every’ piece is made and, finished by machinery (itself famous-for its noveity, as we)l-ae fcr ite effiectiveness) and is therefore properly made. The watch is what a.l mechanism should be—ACCURATE: SIMPLE, STRONG AND’ ECONfor: general use, foreign watches are chiefly made by women and boys. such watches ure composed of several Lundred pisces screwed and riveted together, and require’ constant repuirs tokeep them in any kind of order. All persons who have curried *‘antres,;’* **lepines” and **nglish ’utent Levers,” are perfectly well aware of the truth of this statement. ; At the beginning of our enterprise, more than ten years ayo, it was our firat object to make « thoroughly good low-priced watch for* the million, tu tuke the place of these foreign impositions—the refuse of foreign fuctoriés— which were entirely unsaleable at Lome and perfectly worthless every where. How well we haye'uccomplished this may be understood from the fact, that after g0 many years of putlic trial, we now make MURE THAN HALY OF ALL 'THE WATCHES SOLD IN THE UNITED STALKS, and that no others have ever ‘given such universal satisfaction. While this department.of our business is continued with increased facilities for perfect work, We are at present enyaged im ihe. manufacture. of “watches of tue very HIGHEST. equalled by anything hithertomad by ourselves and -unsurpassed by anything made in the facilities. We have erected un addition to our. main buildings expressly for this branch of our business, and have filled it with the best workmen in our service. New machines and applitheir work with consummate delicacy and exactuess, The choicest and most approved materiala only are used and we challenge comparison between this grade of our work and the finest imported chronometers. Wedo not pretend to sell our watches tor less money than foreign watches, but we do assert without fear of contradiction that for the sume money our product is incomparably superior. All our watches, ot whavever grade, are fully warranted and this Warrantee is good at all times against us or our agents in all parts of the world. CAUTION.—The public are cautioneu to buy Only of respectable uealers, All persons selling counterfeits will be prosecuted. ROBBINS & APPLETON, Agents tor the American Watch Company. 182 Broadway, N.
