Tue town of Casamicciola, on the
island of Ischia, near Naples, was almost entirely destroyed by an earthquake Saturday night. The neighboring towns of Forio, Lacco and
Fario were greatly damaged, It is
impossible to give the nuinber of the
dead at Casamicciola. In the latest
accounts the number is 3,000.. Ischia
aaeeao is an island in the Mediterranean:

: southwest of Cape Miseno, fron
which it is separated by a channel
six miles acrovs. It is seven miles
long and four miles broad; area.

We Cannot say too much in praise of this invention. Yet we feel that
we need not say more than call your attention to the following. illustration
and descriptiun which shows you its merits and completeness,
This invention relates to folding supports for the legs and feet; and it
consists iu details of construction and arrangement of the séveral parts, as
will be hereinafter described,

aboard boats, &c. As they take up but little rocm, they are convenient
for persons in offices and those required to be seated many hours.
