JJ section 1. It shall not be lawful for the
owners or other persons having the charge
of dogs to allow them to run at large within tho corporate limits cf the city of Nevada except as provided for in this ordi
nance. . :
Sectioi 2. Every owner or other person
having the charge of dogs suall pay 4 lice®shifor. keeping each dog the sum. of
two dollars and fifty cents ($2 50) per year,
payable in advance at the Marshal's office.
= Section 3. The Marshal shall provide for
each person appiying for license ander
this ordinance a brass ta: stamped with a
consecutive number, which tag shall be securely fastened upon the hec of the dog
for which the license is taken out.. He

the licenses receipt for the amount of
money paid with the date of the license. .
Section 4. It shall be the duty of the
“Marshal and Poiiceman to take up and
confine: in somé suiteble place all dogs . .

have not complied with the provisions of

Section 5. ‘It shall be the duty of the
Marshal to advertise all dogs taken up under Sec, 4 of this ordinanc2, by potting s
notice in front of his office giving as accurate a description of them as mey be. He
shall keep them at least forty-eigut hours
Any person claiming any dog ‘taken up a8
provided in this ordinance, shall pay to the
Marshal the amount of the licens: and two
‘dollars, which the Marshal shall be allowe4
to retain as a compe ion for feeding and
neeping said dog. At the expiration of the
time of redemption the Marshal shall proceed to kill such dog8 and dispose of them
to the inhabitants of the city. :

State to vote for or agaiist a Convention to
revise and change the Constitution of the
State,” approved March 27, 1874.
“The ballots used at this election may
contain the words ‘For the Cunvention,’ or
the words ‘Against the Conventicn,’ or
words io the same effect,written or printed
thereon: and the Inspector. and the Judges
of Election at each and every poll-in the
State, shall ascertain and make returo of
the number of votes cast in favor of a Convention, and the number of votes cast
against a Convertion, as aforesaid, in like
manner and witb the same particularity as
otlier votes are required by law to be counted and returned.” :
“And I “do hereby offer a reward of one
hundred dollars. for the arrest and conviction of any and every person violating any
of the provisions of Title IV, Part 1, of the
Penal,Gode; such rewards to be paid until
the total amount hereatter expended for

PART I. TITLE ¥V.—Of Crimes against the
Elective Franchise.
Section 41, Every person charged with
the performance of aur duty under the pro-.
visions of any law of this State relating to
élections who wilfully neglects or refuses
to perform it, or who in his officiel capacity knowingly and fraudulently acts in contravention or: violation.of any of the provisions of such law is, uuless a different
punishment for such an act or onfission -i§
preseribed by tl is Code, punishable by a
fine not exceeding one thousaud dollays, or
by imprisonment in the State Prison not
exceeding five years, or both. '
Sec. 42. Every person who wilfully
causes, pro¢ur 6, or allows himself to be
registeréd in. the Grent Register of any
county Knowing himself. not to be entitled
to such registration, 1s punishable by fme
not exceeding one thousand dollars, or by
imprisonment in the County Jail or State
Prison not exceeding one year, or by both.
In all cases where on the tris! of a person
charged with apy offense uncer the prévisions of this section, it appears in evidence
that. the accused stands registered in the
Great Register of any county without being qualified for suca registration,the Court
must order such-registration to be canceled,
Sec. 43. Every person who, after being
registered by the Board of Judges, at ary
election, refuses to be ‘sworn, or, being
sworn, refuses to answer apy. pertinent
question propounded by such Board,touching the righ of authors to vote, is guiity
of é misdemeanor. ;
ec, 44, Every person summoned to ap-pear and testily before any Board of Registration, who wilfuliy disobeys such summons, is guilty of a misdemeanor.
Sec. 45. Every. person not entitled to
vote who fraudulently votes, and every
person who votes more than once at any
one election or knowingly hands in two or
‘more tickets folded. together, or changes
any ballot after the same has beer deposited in the ballet-box. or adds or attempts
to add, any ballot to those legally polled at
any election either by fraudulently introducing the same into the ballot box before
or ‘after the -ballots— therein. have been
counted, or adds to er mixes with, or attempts to add to or mix with,*the ballots
lawfully polled, other, ballets while the
sdme are being count<d or canvassed. or at
any othertime with intent to change the
result of such election; or carries away, or
déstroys, or attempts to carry away or_destgoy, any poll list, or ballots or ballot-box,
for the purpose of, breaking up or invalidating such election, or wilfuliy detains,mutilates, or destroys any election returns, or
in any manner so interferes with the offi:
cers holding such election or conducting
such Canvass, or with the yoters lawfnlly
exercising their rights of yoting.,at: th

Sec. 46 Every peftson not entitled to
vote, who fraudulently attempts to vote,or
who, being entitled to vote, attempts to
