which recommend themselves to a mirAmerica Life Insurance Company, of

raised in this county. Mr. Muller has
this season made various experiments
in crossing the Japanese and Chinese
worms, and the native California worm
with the others, and will be able to.
show speciniens of silk from these as
well as from the common worm. He
has some beautifal hanks wound, and
is satisfied that if the people understand
what can be done in Nevada county
they will be convinced of its excellence
as a silk ‘prodacing locality.

Board were. yesterday engaged in examining the assessment of Grass Valley
township. The following changes were
