The No. 16 level ofthe North Star
mine (which is the lowest: level) is.
showing finely both east and west of .
the incline shaft. The mine is giving
zood results, and the thirty stamps of
the new mill are kept constantly in operation. \
The Empire mine is yielding welt
and profitably, with good pay ore coming out of the No. 16 and the levels}
above. The new level, No. 17, has
been turned, and the drifts are being}
driven each way from the shaft.
