throughout Nevada county at which the following officers are to be elected; and **An Act to
provide bonds for completing the Deaf, Dumb
aid Bliad' Asylum,” aporoved April 27th, 1863,
is to be oubeeitted: to the qualified electors of the
state for ratification :

**An Act to provide bonds for completing the
Deaf, Dumb and Blind Asylum” approved April
27th, 1863, will be submitted to the qualified
electors of the state for ratification, in accordance with section 12 of said Act, at said General
lection to be held on Wednesday, the 2nd of
September next ; those voting for the same shall
have written or printed on their ballots for
state officers. the words, ‘Yor Asylum Building
Act’”’—and those voting against the same shal
have -written or priuted on their ballots the
words. ‘-Against Asylum Building Act.”
w& Sec. 29 of the statute relative to Elections as
amended, vide statutes 1863, page 745 reads as
follows : Z
See. 29 If such person shall insist that he is
entitled to vote, ai dth: challenge shall not be
withdrawn, hé shalt not be entitled to vote unless he take the following oatli; to be administered by the Inspector or one of the Judges, viz:
* You do swear—OFr affirm as the case may be—
that yeu are a citizen of the United States, that
you are of the age of twWeiity-one years, according 40 the best ef your knowledge and belief,
and that you have resided in this state six’
months next preceding tits election, and that
you have not yoted this day.”’

Section 35 of said act has been amended, vide
-stututes 1364, page $54, suas to read as follows-:
