Oroville, a pamphlet, in which the writer sets up the claim of being the originator of the project of building a new school house in that city. The people of Oroville have a fine school Louse, and now everybody. is sodelighted that the origin of it has become a matter of dispute. It will no doubt be soin Nevada. ‘The School Trustece have let a contract for building a fine ‘sehool house ; some people are com‘plaining shout the cost of it, and niisrepresenting the motives of Trustees, but when the new building is completed, we'll bet a hat that a man cannot be found in the community who will notclaim that he favored the building of the new house. —<— FEstivaL AND Bikivcion, —The colored people of this city will give a grand festival and exhibition for the benefit of their pastor, Mr. Green, 'on the 8d of September at Temperance Hall. _ The exercises will consist-of masic, recitations, etc. A first rate supper will "be provided. Who would wander like an uncertain shadow, never knowing what moment they may be prostrated ? Who would be a burden to himself and a burden to his friends, who ate worn out in administering to his wants? Who would live this life of agony . when the great alterative and tonic, HOST ETTER’S STOMACH BITTERS, can be obtained at the nearest — This long established and justly nowned medicine has never been known to failin a single case, and none but the foolish and weak would hesitate to procure it at once, and save themselves torture.
