Rogers informs us that Monday of last week was the time appointed by the committee of the Board of Supervisors to act on the report of the experts in his. case. Rogers says he was at the Court ~ House all day, ready te do bis part of the business, but only two of the Board being present, they refused to act. The delay of. publication accordingly must be laid to the Board. We again ask when the report’ will be published? A fire'was set to tha’ woods: near Williams’ place, above the Providence: mine, last week, within fifty yards of where Mr. Williams had a large lotof wood piled. The* intention was, undoubtedly, to burn the wood and other property. Who it was is unknown, or there would be a rich pulling bee out there, Fire at Bear Valley. On Thursday last, the barn ot E. at Bear Yulley, and thirty, or more tons of hay were consumed by fire. The hay at that place was worth forty dollars per ton. The total loss amounts to over $2,000. A party was in progress there that evening. Some of the guests on going to the door saw the fire after it was under good headway, but it was too late ‘to stop it, ‘There was ne insurancé@onu the property. House Servants.
