To-morrow Cole’s great circus and . menagerie will gire two exhibitions Entertainments were given in Truckee Thursday, and-the~ a says of them: The big show has‘comé saa gone. We believe the general verdict of our people is that Cole’s circus does all it advertises and makes an effort to please its patrons in every possi-— ble way. ‘The street parade presents many novel features, and was one of the finest ever seem here. The } perg formers are all first-class. ingstone brothers in their groupings somersaults, and pysamids excel in their line. The rmding of Wm. O'Dale was remarkably good . and elicited frequent rouads of applause. The aerial flights of Miss Claire just dazzled every bald headed man in the audience—at least her magnificent physique ought;to make her daz ziling. The performances of the trick horse, Humboldt; the six stallions, and the little ponies, Beauty and Butterfly, were the most: entertaining features.of the show. The collection of animals, birds and reptiles is large and very -complete. There were somewhere between two and three thousand people present at the evening performance, and the attendanee in the afterneon was good People were present from Sierra Valley, Boca, the Lakesand other sectiensin this vicinity. ‘The town was very lively during the day and evening, and everybody seemed to havea good time.
