Méeting of the County Central Tt e Democratic County Central noon at Hibernia Hall in thiscity, Chairman Power presiding. The — following. were present: Felix Gillet, C. H. Harrison, W. C~ Jones, Dan Coilins, C. H. Mitchell (A. B. Dibble proxy), Wm. Maguire, J: G. Dickson, John F. Schroeder, John Montgomery. The Chairman stated that the meeting haJ been called to provide for the election of delegates to the State Convention to meet in San Francisco August 31st, and to transact such other business as: might comé up. ° a SN On motion it was ordered that a convention to elect state delegates be called to meet at Nevada City on August 21-t, and that primaries be held August 14th. The folowing was adopted : Resolved, That the appurtionment of delegates to said county convention , be made upon the vote ‘cast for Cleveland and ‘Hendricks in 1884, with one delegate for ev_ ery 25 votes or fraction thereof. {The polls at Nevada City, Grass Valley and Treukee are to be open from 2 to 9 o’clock, and in other precincts at such hours between 2°and 9 o’clock as the inspectors of said precincts determine. ; The following test. was adopted : “All persons who will pledge themselves tosupport the nomi neesof the stateand couaty conventions will be allowed to vote at the primaries to elect delegates to the county convention.” Mr. Dibblesuzgested that the call be pablished in the Democrati: papers. ao 5 Mf.
