Ia Jail Again.
The Marysville Appeal of Sunday publishes the following ia referenc? toa man who recently served
out a teem in the jail at this city for
obtainitig goods under false pretenses: Deputy Sheriff 'T. E.
brought up from Wheat'and yesterday and lodged in the county jail a
man named Alexander McCaw who
is held to answer on a charge of
burglary. It appeared on the examination before Justice Bray that
clothes which were in Chase's bakery
before 1t was burned down on the
24th instant had been found in the
possession of the prisoner since that
ogcirience. It is belived that the
prisoner first committed burglary
and then set fire to the building, but
there was no evidence of arson
against-him, and he is not charged
with that offense. ‘The prisoner is a
brother to John McCaw of Indian
Springs, a vespecteliiny worthy man.
