N accordance with the authority veste _ inus, we make the following cal! for primaries and for a County Convention: On the 14th day of August the Democrats throughout the county shall hold primar, meetings at every election precinct, wi open doors, to elect delegates to our County onvenition, hereby called to meet at Nevada City on Saturday, August 21st, 1886, at 11 o'clock a, m., for the purpose of electing delegates to the State nvention, to be held in San Francisco on Tuesday, August Slst, 1886, appointing a County Central Committee and transacting such business as may come before the Convention. All those that will wetee themselves to suprt the nominees of the State and County ionventions may vote at said primaries, provided they are qualified voters of the precincts, . ” The basis of representation in said County Convention shall be one delegate for every twenty-five votes, cast at the last gener-. alelection for Cleveland and Hendricks, and one for every fraction thereof. The election shall be held inthe precincts of Nevads, Grass Valley and Truckee \between the hours of 2 o'clock p, m. ands candidate for renomination by advertisement to that effect being » printed in ‘another column.
