Work has been. resumed after a short suspension, in order to puta house over the shaft ‘and “erect a horse whim for pum ping and raising rock, The shaft is down 105 feet, and will be sunk to the depth of 150 féet, when a level will be turned if the, ledge at* that depth continues its present favorable appearance. The ledge is strong, and shows finely in a good quality of sulphurets. The house built over the shaft is large, containing room. for the whim, a forge and stable. C.
