family are now visiting in San Franvisco, was to have started for New
York City last week. rom the latter place he will go to Europe. The
object of his trip is to make arrangements for introducing into use the
ocean steamer invented by him, and

the Santa Anita quartz mine, near
Washington, which was suspended a
few weeks since, will be resumed as
