The Pingree Case.
' A very large crowd assembled at
the Court House yesterday morning to hear the sentence to be pronounced against I. O. Pingree, who
was found guilty of keeping a house
of ill-fame. They were doomed to
disappointment. J. I, Caldwell and
J. M. Walling, attorneys for Pingree
made a motion for stay of proveedings in order to give them time ,to
parepre a stateinent to be submitted
to the Court for a new trial, which
was granted.
