Death of Gendral Geary.
A dispatch of the 8th from “Hartisbarg,. Pa., says, ex-Governor
Geary returned hé'from New York
last evening in apparent good health.
About 9 o’elock this forenoon, while
‘breakfasting with his family, and in
the act of helping his little son, his

wife could get to his side, and before
medical-aid eould be summoned he
was dead. He. is supposed to have
died of heart disease or apoplexy~

of age when he died. He served in
the Mexican war, and afterwards resided on this coast.
