The Performance Saturday Night.
Notwithstanding the storm which
prevailed on. Saturday night, the
Theatre. was wel! tilled by ladies and
gentlemen, all anxious to witness the
last. performance of Professor Taylor,
the Chief of Necromancy. ~ Had the
evening been a pleasant one, many
persons would have been unable to
gain admittance. The exhibition
was the best one of the seven given
by the Professor, being a selection of
the best feats culled from the previous entertainments. At the conclusion of the exhibition, fhe distribution of presents took place, and
avery one in the Theatre received a
gift of.a useful nature, many of them
being qmte valuable.Over~three
hundred presents were distributed,
R. C, Walrath was the winner of the
forty dollars in ‘silver-coin. Thus
closed the longest and ‘most success“ful engagement ever given in this
city. This is mainly attributable to
the generous, whole-souled disposition of the Professor, the courteous
and lady-like deportment of his assistant, Mrs. Taylor, and the polite
and attentive manner of the agent,
Mr. R. W.Nolan. They made many
friends during their stay here,
.Who wish them prosperity wherever
they. go. On Wednesday evening
the Professor-will commence a series
of entertainments in Grass Valley,

An Astonishing Fact.
A large proportion of the American‘ people are to-day dying from
the éffects of Dyrepeyss or disordered liver. The result of these dis.eases upon the masses of intelligent
and valuable people is most alarming, making fife actually a burden
instead of a pleasant existene of enjoyment and usefulness as it ought
to be. There is no good reason for
this, if you will only throw aside
‘prejudice and skepticism, take the
advice of druggists and your frieuds,
and try one bottle of Green’s August
\Flower. Your speedy relief is cerjtain. Millions of bottles of this
. medicine have been given awiiy to try
its Virtues, with satisfactory results .
in every case. You can buy 4 sample bottle for 10 cents totry. Three
doses will relieve the “worst case.
