Improved Mining Appliances.
‘As the Chicago Mining Review
remarks, the iraprovement in mining machinery during the past
season has been most wonderful
and marked. Perhaps never before in the history of the mining
industry has so much attention
been given to the successful treatment of the many varieties of ore
afforded: by the vast extent ol
mining territory now opened,. In
this direction there has been certainly an imperative demand and
an absolute necessity existing for
gome meéttiod that would: utilize:
and make valuable the vast de~ posits of low grade ores upon
which the real prosperity of miuing. does, and must, depend.
Many of these inventions must yet
be tried by practical tests in the
mining field; many ‘, modifications may be indicated, but there
is no question of ultimate success
in the end. This is certainly an
encouraging feature, and shows
_ that the intricate problem presented will be met and succdssfully
solved. The intelligence of our
‘people is equal to every demand,
and itis clearly evident that the
mining field will soon show at
many successful appliances for
securing the best results, as any
other industry of our country now
presents, however long established
or successfully prosecuted.

Tus: alacrity with which the
Queen accepted the resignation
ofthe Gladstone Ministry, and the
ovations paid Salisbury on hir
way to Balmoral, would indicate
that the change is agreeable to
the people of England. The sad
failures and indecision of the Ministry have exasperated the average Briton. What the new Ministry will do remains to be seen.

’ PILES! PILES! PILES!
A SURE CURE FOUND AT LAST!
No One Need Suffer.
A sure cure for Blind, Bleeding,
Itching and Ulcerated Piles has
been discovered by Dr. Williams
(an Indian Remedy,) called Dr.
William’s Indian Pile Ointment.
A single box has cured the worst
chronic cases of 25 or 30 years
standing. No one need suffer five
minutes after applying this wonderful soothing medicine. Lotions,’
instruments and_electuaries do
more harm than good. William’s
Indian Pile Ointment absorbs the
tum ors, allays the intense itching
(particularly at night after getting
warm in bed,) acts as ‘a_ poultice,
.» agives instant relief, and is prepared only for Piles, itching of the private parts, and for nothing else.
Read what the Hon. J. M. Coffinberry of Cleveland says about Dr
William’s Indian Pile Ointment:
“T have used scores of Pile Cures,
and it affords me pleasure to say
that I have never found anything
which gave such immediate and
rmanent relief as Dr. William’s
dian Ointment.’’ For sale by
