song of “Champagne Charley” was
sung by Miss Ada, put the house in a
glorious humor, and was received with
unbounded applause.” Seats may be

pocket last week that pays them better
than a banking house would if,they
had the full sweep of it. In a single
pan. full of rock they took out between

four and five hundred dollars. It is
_ stated that they have taken out very
large sums every day since they first
struck the pocket, and there is no evidence that they have yet reached the
‘bottom ‘of it.

of the public school at Rough & Ready
on Friday night was a decided success.
