The Hospital is furnished with abundance “of freshmeat of the very best ‘quality, and there have been times when this is difficult to obtain in the market,” The corned meat is put up specially for the patients; and is far better than much of the cured beef used for families. We have visited the institution and examined the larder, and can testify to the fact that: every article of provision used is of the very best quality, and as the Grand Jury says, “supplied in abundance.” __Thoge who are quartered at the Hospital have no just cause of complaint, and are enerally fully satisfied with —their-treatment. The contest lasted for fifteen or twenty minutesand both dogs were terribly punished. During all this time the crowd accumulated and once there was some danger of aman fight. Would it not be a good idea for the City Trustees to pass an ordinance te -prevent these in= human exhibitions on the public streets. During the fight yesterday, several ladies who were passing along the street were compelled to leave the sidewalk on account of the crowd collected about the fighting dogs.
