A Plucky Woman.
A lady from Scott’s Flat, was
visiting this place during the recent
snow storm, end found when she
wanted to return, that the snow on
the road was so deep that it would
be impossible to do so. She,
however, did not prolong: ber visit,
She walked out to the V Flume, and
walked the narrew planks at its side,
the whole distance home, whieh is}
over eight miles. Seme of the
trestles over which she: passed, are
weventy-five feet in height. That is
