The damage is estimated at double the amount. resulting from the floods of 1862. SENTENCED. — Yesterday, morning Judge Palmer sentenced Ah Fow to pay a fine of $80 or go to the county jail for 40 days, and Ah Pow was fined $60 and in default of payment sent up for 30 days. The parties were convicted of rioting on Indian Creek. A motion to amend judgment in the cases of the other three Chinamen off the ground of the insufficiency of evidence was ar: gued yesterday afternoon. The mo~ tion was overruled, Ah Low was fined $50, and the other two. $25 each.All of them were sent to jail. A Lrserat Rewarp.—On the 28th of December, a gentleman lost a handsome dagger. ‘The handle was of ivory, with silver trimmings at each end, and the seabbard of silver, tipped with a ball of silver as was the handle.
