What the Season Suggests,
To assume warta clothing at the com.
-mencement of the ¢old season is only an
act of cominom prudence, But something
more than this is required tox put the body
in a state of defense against thes acarching
atmosphere of winter. Damphas~ <a depressing effect on the vital organs and the

taken out-of the strongest of ws by the
chilling vapors whichfrequently load the
air at this period of the year is considerable,
and to the weak and languid they are extremely deleterious. ‘Lo protect the system against their effects, it miust bé inward:
ly toned, regulated and reinforced, as well
asshielded outwardly by appropriate garments. Thisessential serviceis more safely
and satisfactorily accomplished by the daily
use of Hostetter’s Stomach Bitters than by
anyother. means within the province of
medical science. The fact here stated is as
incontrovertible. as a. demonstration in
mathematics: Nobody disputes it. It is
@ matter of common belief and of general
record, Here the case might be rested; but
the public, naturally enough, wants to
know.why this. famous vegetable specific
is so far ahead of ' a. other medicines of its
clags. This reasonable~euriosity can be
readily gratified. The Bitters cgmprise five
important elements, viz; a stimulant, atonic, an aperient, and a blood depurent.
Each of these components, as well as each
of the other subordinate ingredients, is
the purest and best of its kind. They are
proportioned im accordance with a formula
that has been in use for twenty years, and
Hence the uniform sutcess of the medicine.
