In the cou stolen atthe time of the murder, was in his shirt pocket. ‘The officer immediately procured assistance, arrested the men, and on searching found the watch as stated.— A considerable amount of money has been offered for the arrest of these murderers, $1,000 being offered by a Chinese merchant of Dutch Flat, who is a cousin of one of the parties arrested. spieesnnncesliiis sina Bev Rock TunnEL.—The North Bloom. field Gravel Mining Company, which purchased a range of gravel claims sometime ago, near North Bloomfield have been pushing forward their works with great energy.—They are running a bed rock tun_nel and cut for the purpose of opening the claims to a greater depth than they have’ yet been worked. They have let a contract to parties to ran this tunnel or which the contractors receive forty-eight dollars per foot, the Company paying all the expense for powder and tools.
