sec 1, The Road Commissioner ot éach
Road, District of Nevada County shall demand of every male person over 21 and unter 55 yeare of age withiu his district (or
the employer or such manegug agent of
dlich persun) the annual Koad Poll Tax of
two dollars and fifty cents, which is hereby
levied by the Board of Supervisors on such
persons; said demond to be’ made between
the 1st Monday of March and the 1st day of
July in-each year, : &
bec. 2. The Auditor shall furnish each
Commissioner with a sutl¢ient number of
Hlanks, take receipts therefor, and charge
him with the same;-but credit must be givvn him for all unsold poll tax receipts returned by each Commissioner on the Ist
Monday in each month, when it shall be his
duty to settle with the Auditor.
Sec. 3. Corporations or other employers
of persons.in anyvoad district subject to
road 1ax, aré chargeable for the rdad poll
tax “assessed avainst their employes to the
extent of any.credit in their hands not exceding such tax; provided the Road Overseer shall tirst give notice to such’employer,
