The Committee on Statisties will report at a future meeting. . The Committee adjourned to meet at the call of the Chairman. Coroner's Inguest. Corener Pope held an inquest upon the body of Tae William Richards, at the residenve of the parents of the deceased, at Boston. Ravine, befere a Coroner’s Jury, composed ot J. bye M. C, Taylor, H. G@. Coleman A. Stoddard, F. L. Richards and .L.J. Roland, and from the evidence adduced, it appeared tRat death ensued from congestion of the lungs. The deceased was a native of Michigan, and aged 15 years 2 months and 25 days.—Grass Valley “Union. Little Frank Richards spoken of above, formerly resided: in this city. He will be remembered as a bright intelligent lad by his teachers and the children with whom he was assuciated in school. His death was sad and sad. den. On New Year's morning “he got up before light, as bright, and to all appearances as well as ever, and ran joyfally to his mother and father and wished them a “happy New Year.” He went back to bed and when called to got up felt a little anwell and thought he would rest a littie longer. He grew worse and died on that night. On the 22d of last month, a house at Sweetland, belonging to A. L. Slack, and occupied by A.J. Tacket and family, was destroyed by fire. Hardly an article in the house w:s saved. AlJ the ‘wearing apparel of Mrs. Tacket and. that of her children, three or four in number, was destroyed.
