AT the Trial of the Lord 1889, together with their respective years. Do not know Mr. Lord. Did not support him in the late election. The defense peremptorily challenged Mr. Rosendale,’ and Mr. Eagye was Sworn in as the tenth juror. P. Leahy, Sweetland. Rancher. Married. Lived in connty 23 years. Ama Republican. Read some of the accounts. of the contest and the first trial. Formed an opinion as to the case. Tulked with a witness. Itis a Kane should be permitted tosit on the jury “this trial would be a farce and justice would be murdered here.” Mr. Johnson did not deign to answer the General’s remarks. The annual election of Pennsylvania ie Engine Company, No. 2, was held Wednesday evening with the following result: John Kisile, President; Wm. Carr, Charles Grimes und Frank Eilerman was nominated for Chief, and Nevada Hose Company will endorse the nomination. The company decided to go to Grass Valley.on the Fourth. Hill of Thurman, Fremont county, Iowa, writes as follows to Postmasteg Clarke of this city: Nevada City by Henry Kennedy and sent to Sidney, dated August 12, 1875, conveying intelligence of the death of my brother Joshua Hill, who is said to have gone by the name of Charley Hill.
