San Francisco, by her attorney, enters the game, sees the Marysville $6,000, and “goes em” $124,000 bettét in the shape of a suit for the forfeiture of $130,000 to the State. This “raiee” is heavy but Marysville ought not to be bluffed as long as there . is a good chance for another “raise.” Marysville, by her attorney, can sue as well-es-be-sued, and~we shall expect svon to hear that a suit for $1,000,000 has been commenced in Marysville against the managers of the Mercantile Library Association, to be forfeited to the State. “The game is made.” We pass. . New Deeds. amas ‘ The deeds of lands from the Central Pacific Railroad Company were formerly made by the President and Secretary to the purchasers. Yesterday the first of a new series of deeds was filed tor record in the County Recorder’s office in this city. This instrument sets forth that on the ist of October, 1870, all the lands belonging to the Central Pacific Railroad in California, Nevada and Utah, were conveyed to S. W: Sanderson and Chas. Crocker, in trust, as security for 1,000 bonds of $10,000 each, with interest at the rate of 6 per cent. per annum. The officers of the Company and the trustees join in the deed. Installation. : On Tuesday evening last the officers of the Oustomah Lodge, No. 16, 1. 0. ©. F., were installed for the ensuing term, by District Deputy Grand Master H. C. McKelvey.
