LOCAL AFFAIRS.
~ Road to Sierra County.
As soon as the weather gets
fairly settled and the roads are in
. a navigable condition a surveying
party will leave this city to make
an examination of the route of the
proposed waggn road from this city
ra county, and to make as close an’
estimate as can be reached of the
cost of doing the work. .The crossing of the Middle Yuba will probably be at some’ point near the
mouth of Bloody Run, and.a bridge
~~ with approaches of moderate grade
and one which no flood will reach,
‘ean be put in there at a very
“moderate cost. The people of
Sierra county are anxious to have
the road built, and agree to contribute liberally to the required
funds.
