During the festivities, Past Master E. M: Preston presented the retiring Master, H. Stansfield, who had acted in that capacity for three years, with a beautiful Past Master’s jewel, made in this city by C. J. Bran the jeweler. The fire and military companies of this city contemplate giving @ joint party at Hunt’s month in celebration of Washington’s birthday, which comes on Sunday, the 22d of next month. The very best of music will be furnished, the hall will be handsomely decorated, and the various committees will labor to make the. party the largest and the best of the year.
