From the present temperature savants might easily infer that those dark spots are only “holes to let the heat out.” The thermometer has ranged ataong the nineties ever since the SERIous ACcIDENT.—We learn that # youth who resides near this city was caught by a large steel trap a few days since and was so seriously injured that he has since been confined to his home. The trap was set near a pigeon house, and he, in some way got his knee into it when the trap sprung and cut a large gash in hisleg. His injuries are not of a serious character. TEMPERANCE LecTuRE.—On Saturday evening, “Brown of Yonkers” who is lecturing upon the subject of Temperance under the auspices of the Good Templars, will deliver.a lecture at the Congregational Church,'in this city, at & quarter before 8 o'clock.
