A Sealy Trick.
As one of our gitizens, who recently took unto himself a better half,
was retiring the other night, a mean
mischeivous persons, The wife of
the party referred to, had already retired, and her lord was just’ in the
act of crawling over to the back side
of the bed, when sonie party out‘side, who had drawn the hose from
the front side of the house, let loose

into the back of the half bent husband. The shock was so great that
it caused him to give a sudden leap
forward, and by so doing he drove
his head with terrific force’ against
the wall, nearly brewking his neck.

be out sinee. He will pay liberally for
the apprehension of the parties who

blood had been lost that.death came
to the poor man’s relief at about half

We learn from a gentleman living
on upper Pine street, that some boys
were engaged in lighting tirecrackers
at the Colored ‘school ‘house ~on
Thursday night. That: the grass:
was set on fire, and that pieces of
rackers and bombs left on the
ground, were on. fire half an-hourafter, and were extinguished with water, We presume the boys went to
the place spoken of, beeause they
thought jt a safe one. But there are
buildings, and such localities would
be better for such sport, Every precaution ought to be taken against
