Board of Trustees.
The City Trustees met Thursday
evening, a full Board being present.
Supervisor W. H. Smith reported
that he would not accept the $300
the city had voluntéered to donate
towards building the road from the
Foundry to the Newtown road. On
motion the refusal was ordered spread
upon the minutes,
The Marshal was instructed to enforce ordinance No. 59, forbidding
hog pens to be built within certain
blocks, and was ordered to serve a
notice on B. Locklin to remove his
hog pen from its pregent site.
It was decided that at the next
meeting the Board would pass an ordinance to prevent lewd women from
visiting liquor salvons after 9 o'clock,

It was decided that in case citi-genswould. render some pecuniary
assistance, the Trustees would take
measures to erect a lamp on Commercial street, about the center of
Chinatown, and back of the New
York Hotel.
