Allison Ranch,that the Omaha mine,
which is situated near that place, is
looking first rate. About five weeks
ago work was commenced on it, by
-tunning a drift east from the bottom
of the shaft, with a view of striking
what was_supposed to be the main
: ledge; The work was carried on until the supposition was proved correct. A ledge has been found two
feet in thickness, and the rock-in it
“ shows-a large amount of sulphurets,
which carries the gold in. quantities
visible to.the naked eye: This ledge
is supposed to be am extension of the
Lone Jack, which hasbeen extensively worked and was very rich, but
found which did not pay. It is be=
lieved that the Omaha will prove as
rich as the Lone vack ever was.
