Shortly after dark Friday evening some boys opened. the front

Yesterday’s Fire Alarm.

The fire alarm at noon yesterday was given by some small
boys who saw a Cense volume of
smoke emerging from the chimney
of Robert Bell’s house on Boulder
street near Marsh’s luniber yard,
whereupon they rushed off and set
the bells to ringing without ‘first
ascertaining if there was any necessity for so doing. There was
no fire at the house, excepting the
fire in the stove. The firemen took.
their hose carts as far as the Plaza
before finding out the alarm was a

Sudden Death of a Miner.
The San Francisco Chronicle
of Friday had the foliowing: P.
H. Brady, a mining man, was out
riding with 8, H. Crane yesterday
morning, when he suddenly felt a
iush of blood to his mouth. Crane. I
rapidly to the receiving hospital,
where Brady died a few minutés
after being admitted to that. institution. Brady was troubled with
heart disease, and it is supposed
that his death resulted from aneurism of the heart. He was a
native of Pennsylvania, 45 years
of age and was unmarzied. Upon

watch, $149, a certificate of deposit for $2500, and an olographic.
