On Monday evening a disgraceful street fight occurred between James Freuch and’John Burbridge. After abusing each other for nearly’ half an honr, by indulging freely in vulgarity and profanity, during all of whica three ladies and children were passing along the street, they commenced fighting snd continued for some time before the officers arrived on the ground.. Both parties were arrested for disturbing the peace, by “traducing, quarreling, challenging to fight and fighting,”’ We would suggest that the oflicers arrange so that they do not all go to supper at the same hour. Once or twice such occurrences have taken place when the officers were at supper. Had both these combatants been arrested promptly when they were abusing each other in ,vile language, a disgiaceful fight might have beén prevented. Runawnry.
