George C. Gorham and H, G. 1lins will address the people of Nevada at the 8ame place.
Henry. S eaten :
The friends of ‘Capt. Henry Scadden, in this county, who did all they
could to secure his nomination, are
rejoiced to know that these who
hoped to make capital of his failure
to get the nomination are to be disappointed. Capt. Scadden has too
much manliness to go back upon his
principles, and he and his friends,
with other unsuccessful candidates,
stand squarely of the platform, and
endorse the honfinations of the Convention. Capt. Scaddeh in the late
contest, though unsuccessful, has
made many more friends among the
Republicans of the county.
. Fruackee Scnooi Benent,
(The musicians, vocal and instrumental, of Nevada have resolved to
give in entertainment about the 8th
proximo, for the purpose of aiding
the people of Truckee in rebuilding
their school house, destroyed by the
recent-fire in,that-place. The Choral
Society will meet for rehearsal at the
Theatre at quarter to 8 o’clock, Saturday evening. / Members, and all
who have rehearsed with the society,
are earnestly requested to be in attendance, and bring their books.
Organize !
Union men in every precinct in

exery. Union voter in_ the -precinct.
See that all voters are properly registered, and enrolled upon the Poll
List, Every citizen and tax payer in
the State has an interest in the coming contest, and he should work for
the success of the Republican party
in order to secure a first class set of
officers.
Don’t Neglect It.
Voters don’t neglect to ascertain
that your names are upon the Great
Register, and the Poll List of your
precinct on or before the 7th day of
August. This must be done in order to save further trouble. / Attend
to the work for yourselves and see
that your neighbors do so. Every
man should vote at the next election.
A Parting Blow.
A night or two since a serenading
party visited the’ domicil of a departing friend, and toted their horns.
The recipients of the compliment are
in a quandary whether it was intended as an evidence of sorrow or reJoicing at the expected ‘‘new departure,”

A Perileus Season.
Glorious and delightful as the Summer
weather is, its tropical heat is a severe trial
to the vital powers. Even the strongest are
sometimes prostrated by its effects. The
common phrase appliedto this condition of
the body is ‘‘general debility." Now, general debility arises from, and includes a.
variety of ailments. The liver is more or
1e88 affected, the bowels are either consti. pated or too much relaxed, the stomach but
half performs the work of digestion, the
appetite is poor, and the spirits depressed.
This ig what is called general debility. —Itis a general disarrangement of all the physical functions, and requires as a remedy a
medicine that will regulate them all, Hostetter’s Stomaclt Bitters is specially adapted
to this purpose. Its. general operation is
not contined to s single organ._If the liver
is affected it restores its tone. If the stomach is torpid, it regenerates it. If the
hervas are tremulous and weak, it braces
andreinforces them. If the mind, which
ever sy npathises with the body, is gloomy
and despondent, it relievesthe difticulty,
and soon brings the whole mechanism of
the body into harmony with the laws of
health.
There is no civilized nation in the Western Heiispbere in which the utillty of
Hostetter’s Stomach Bitters as a tonic, corrective and anti-bilious medicine, is not
known and appreciated. ‘Throughout the
Tropics it.is considered, both by tac people
and the profession, the standard specinic.
While it is a inedicine for ali seasons and
all climates, it is especially suited to the
complaints generated by the weather, being
the purest and best vegetable stimulant in
the worid.
Beware of the Bitters made of acrid and
dangerous materials, which unscrupulous
parties are endeavoring to fvoist upon the
peupie. Their name is legion, and the public has nu guarantee that they are not poisonous. Audnere to the tried reinedy, Hostetter’s Bitters, sold only in glass, and never
in kegs or
PAIN KILLER.
ee
PERRY DAVIS & SON,
PROVIDENCE, R. I.,
PROPBIETORS.
1840. : 1871,
The ‘‘ Pam Kruger” may justly be styled
the great inedicine of the world, for there
is no-region of the globe into which it bas
not found its way, and been largely used
and highly prized. Moreover, there is no
clime to which it has not proved to be well
adapted for the cure of a considerable variety of diseases; it isa speedy and safe
remedy. for burns, scalds, cuts, bruises,
wounds, and various other injuries, as well
as fur dysentery, diarrhea, and bowel coimplaints generally, it is admirably suited for
every race of nen on the face of the globe.
It is a very significant fact, that notwithstanding the long period of ycars that the
“Pain Killer” has been befere the world,
it has never lost one whit of ita popularity,
but, on the contrary, the call for it ‘has
steadily increased from its first discovery‘
and at no previous time has the demand for
it been so great, or the quantity made been
6, as to-day.
bate santnount tact is, that nowhere
has the Pain Killer ever been in higher repute, or been more generally used by families and individuals, than it has boen here
at home, where it was first discovered and
introduced. That the Pain Killer will continue to. be, what we have styled it, THE
GREAT MEDICINE OF THE WORLD, there can
not be the shadow of a doubt.—/[Providence
