The Crystal Spring Saw Mill De' stroyed.
\U: The Crystal Spring saw mill, owned by M. L. & D. Marsh, about two
and a half miles from this city, was
totally destroyed by fire on Friday
night, together with about 400,000
feet of lumber in’ the yard, the machinery and everything about the
mill. The origin of the fire is not
known, .as the’ mill was entirely enveloped in flamés when the alarm
was given. Two men, Myron B.
Kelsey, engineer, and Reagan the
teamster, were.sleeping in the upper
part of the mill. Kelsey escaped
through the mill, but. was cousiderably scorched.. Reagan, whe--was
awakened by Kelsey calling, was cut
off from eséape by the flames, and
he jumped from:.a. window fifteen
feet to the ground, without injury.
The men think as the fire.came from .
the lower part of the mill, where the
bojler and engine are located, it must
_ have caught from a spark from the
tire, though the engineer is contident
the fire was all out when he retired.
The fire oceirred about half past 9
o'clock, and" the wind was blowing
very hard.at.the time. The loss is
probably not less than $15,000 upon
which there was no insurance. The
mill was one of the best in this
county.
--@dd Fellows Excursion.

A Perilous Season.
Glorious and delightful as the Summer
weather is, its tropical heat is a severe trial
to the vital powers. Even the stronyest are
soniet ies prostrated by its effects. The
common pbrase applied to this condition of
the body'is ‘‘yeneral debility. Now, general debility arises from, and includes a
variety of ailments. ~ The liver is more or
1e8s affected, the bowels are either constipated or too much relaxed, the stomach but
.invelving heavy. losses, not only ta a1: performe-the=-work-of ‘digestion, the
appetite is poor, and the spirits depressed.
fuis is what is tallod general debility. ~ It
is a general dismrangement ofall the physical functions, and requires as a ‘remedy &
medicine that will reguiate them all. Hostetter’s Stomach Bitters is specially adapted
te this purpose. Its genergl operation is
not contined toa single organ. If the liver
is affected it restores its tone. If the stomach is torpid, it regénerates it. If the
nervas are-tremulous and weak, it braces
andreinfurces them. If the mind, which
ever sympathises with the body, is gloomy
and despondent, it relieves the dittioulty,
and'soon brings the whole mechanism of
the body into harmony with the laws of
health.
There is no civilized nation in the Western He.uisphere in whicn the utillty of
